We used Mathis today to move us from Orange County to Murrieta at the recommendation of a friend. We just could not be happier! They were so helpful and professional, willing to go the extra mile to do whatever we needed done to make this a smooth transition. We cannot recommend them enough, they’re the BEST!!K & S

If I could sum up their service it is definitely top notch given the amount of stuff we had. They have a method to the science of moving and packing everything up in the large truck. I think they handled everything with care even with a toddler around. Only complaint I had was the furniture was not shrink wrapped.

Highly Recommend use of Mathis Moving for all of your moving needs. We needed help moving items from a storage unit into our home and the guys at Mathis Moving were awesome from start to finish. They even helped setup the bed in one of the bedrooms! That is great customer service and we appreciate the great work.

I first heard of Mathis Moving in ’99 when my mom used them to move from our palacial home to a much smaller rental. I next used them in ’07 when I moved the 2 miles from my one bedroom into my swanky upstairs 2 bedroom in Whittier (it was pre-Yelp, hence the lack of review)So when I had to move from Whittier to the much busier Downtown Los Angeles, I considered others, I read reviews, I got quotes, and I just had to return to Mathis. Why? Simple. Customer service.I called a little more than a week before I wanted to move and spoke to Mike. He was straight forward and very sweet. He quoted me their flat rate of $99 all inclusive (which seems like a lot until I saw how other places charged a gas fee, a packaging fee a fucking breathing fee) I asked for Saturday, he apologized and asked if Sunday would be ok. Sure! He told me that if I wanted to be ready for them, or even if I wanted them to show up and pack for me, they’d arrive at 8am.A few days before the move, Mike called back and apologetically asked if we could move the arrival time to between 10 and 11 am. I had no problem with that and use that time to ask about some last minute concerns, he was very grateful and appreciated that I asked questions to keep myself informed. What a sweet heart.Day of was great. The movers, Charo and John, arrived at 9:57am! They worked quickly and moved on to stop number 2 before coming to the new place at stop number 3. When they arrived, disaster! My street was being blocked off for a celebration, the freight elevator was no longer available and I was, to put it mildly, freaking the fuck out. But Charo and John were cool as could be, and with a little help from me and my friend, we got unpacked and set up in under one hour! They were friendly, they were professional and even though one of my dressers got a little, tiny scratch (which I don’t care about as my stuff is from Ikea anyway), they were perfect. 10am to 2:30pm for $495 and a little bit of my own sweat was well worth it. I would definately suggest these guys to anyone who is moving. And if you’re willing to help out, it goes faster and the guys even appreciate it and thank you!OH and CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED!!

Short summary: I would recommend and definitely use again. No hidden costs and super efficient. Long story: Reading reviews about moving companies was scaring me because of all the extra charges but then I came across Mathis Movers. I called them up and spoke with John and he gave me a run down of the pricing and it was pretty simple, you pay by the hour. It sounded good to me. He later texted me to confirm he had my date available. *I called him on a Saturday and he told me to speak with Ava on Monday to set it up. After speaking with Ava she told me the date I needed was not available because I needed a three man crew. I had only one day to move my stuff from my old home to the new one. Ava let me know she had other dates available just not the one I needed. I continued my search and was running into several companies that tacked on random charges. Just when I had given up all hope, Ava called me a week later to let me know my date opened up. I was thrilled. She was very thorough and the communication was great. The day of the move came and Charro, Mario and Andrew showed up just as scheduled and ready to work. They were super fast and wasted no time. It was a really hot day and yet they hustled. They handled all my stuff with care and were very personable. I will definitely be referring this company to my family and friends.

Mathis movers were OUTSTANDING. Everything was perfect from start to finish. I spoke to Ava and gave her an idea of what we had. I asked for wardrobe boxes a couple of days ahead to help us move through the process quicker and it really helped. John brought them over and gave us some great hints and tricks. Their communication process was great from start to finish. We had Kelly and his crew and they hustled from dawn to dusk. Do yourself a favor and don’t bother looking around. These guys are worth every penny. Nothing was broken or scratched. What a great company. Thanks again.

I loved what they did for me! I’m a single mother of 2 & they rocked it on my move. Way above and beyond what I expected. ( I stressed for weeks about this move & I realize now that was stupid.) They were on time, professional and even called in a 4th man for a heavy part of the job to do it right. Kelly, Chadum (?), and Lauren… Get a huge crazy mad high five from me. 3 story town house to a one story… Jammed pack with my treasures. They disconnected and reconnected all appliances. Same with beds, desk, dining table etc… On and on. I will call them again! I am so happy tonight… Sitting on this box writing. Don’t hesitate and make sure to talk to sandy!

There aren’t enough stars to give for this company! I give them 10 stars out of 5! Absolutely outstanding!! John and his crew were super nice, even though I had to have them come to move stuff around at my house twice before the big moving day, then on moving day, I had them move my sofa to a friend’s house after they moved everything into my house. Moves are always stressful, but John and his crew were so wonderful, and took such great care of everything, they made it relaxing and stress free. They never complained or acted like it was an inconvenience when I asked them to do some extra moving, but cheerfully went out of their way to accommodate. I had NO damaged items nor paint scuffs on any walls during this move. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a company’s YELP rating this high, with 93 reviews, but believe me, this company absolutely deserves it. You’ll be so glad you went with them, trust me!! Hire them now!!!!!

These guys are awesome. They were flexible when I had to change the start time of my move because of issues at the new house, were friendly throughout the move, and carefully moved my stuff. They even provided me with wardrobe boxes for clothing I had planned to move in my car myself. I’ve recommended them to everyone I know!
