These guys were AMAZING!!They moved us from an upstairs apartment to a pretty much 3rd story Condo. They were very professional throughout the process. Since I had new floors put in, the took a moment to put felt on the bottom of the furniture. They took apart, reassembled, and placed everything where I needed it to go. The 3 guys who moved us today were straight up nice guys, who worked very hard, and I heard not one complaint from the amount of stairs they had to climb and carry heavy loads up.I did buy them In and Out for lunch since I felt bad for the insane stairs, which they showed much appreciation for.I would recommend them to anyone who is moving!!!Great job guys….THANK YOU!!!

Mathis Movers is amazing! John was so nice on the phone, and the movers Lassen and Mark were so nice and friendly. We live in the mountains, so we have a lot of steps and windy roads to navigate. The movers were great and never complained. If you need movers, definitely use this company. You won’t be disappointed!

I have hired a many movers in the past and Mathis Moving has been by far, the best one! They are very efficient, very professional and provided such great customer service! I highly recommend them. They were so helpful and was considerate on how to put the boxes and things away at our new home. They put them away nicely on shelves in the garage and made sure there was space to walk around so I can easily go through the boxes. While they were packing, I mentioned how I was donating some of the items they were packing. When they unloaded at the new house, they made sure to put those donations items together and easily accessible. This type of customer service is amazing. They packed up our things and moved them as if it was their own. From my very first call to them, until they finished the job…5 stars!

This company was suggested here on Yelp. I called them because I needed a small amount of furniture (2 pieces) moved from one location to another. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very polite and very helpful. She set up an appointment for me even though I wasn’t sure if I would need them and told me it was easy to cancel but not easy to schedule last minute. So once I confirmed I would need their services I called her back to finalize. The gentlemen who showed up were on time, and friendly. They were extremely careful to not damage anything while they were getting the furniture out of the house. They were fast but thorough. They seemed a little surprised at how little I needed moved but still took care of everything professionally. My mom was very happy to get her favorite furniture moved into her apartment. I would definitely recommend this company.

My mother was very pleased with their service. They were very careful with her belongings and moved items in her hallways so they wouldn’t knock anything over. They were willing to do anything she needed like move old furniture to make room for the new.Their schedule was very accommodating with only 2 days notice.

What a great moving company! I highly recommend John and his professional team of movers! The are definitely the best movers we’ve ever used – they are the most considerate, pleasant, thoughtful, and kind group of moving guys we have ever used. We were already dreading the move after our very bad experience with the last moving company we used 4 years ago to move from Central-Cal to So-Cal. As is almost always the case, personal recommendations tend to be the best source for selecting service-oriented professionals. After obtaining several quotes from different movers in SoCal and L.A., I was reticent about all of them. Fortunately, about a month before our target move date, my fiancée was given a very strong recommendation to use Mathis Moving from one of her patients, who had used them several times in the past and said you will be very happy with their service. The recommendation was much appreciated and ultimately very accurate. We could not have been more pleased! Not only did John, the operations manager, and Ava, the scheduler, provide us with an accurate estimate, they both worked extensively to take my multiple calls (even one which John answered on a Sunday afternoon while traveling with his family) to answer all my many questions, and they both went out of their way to do the extra little things to plan ahead that make a huge difference when providing a professional moving service on moving day. John sent 3 movers on the Saturday prior to move day (Monday), to pack and prep our 2 bedroom, 2 bath home. They arrived on-time at 11:00 am Saturday, just as scheduled to begin packing the kitchen, bedrooms, closets and living room, and also prepping our furniture with padding / blankets, etc… for the big move day on Monday. On Saturday, while the guys were packing and prepping for Monday’s move, we decided we needed to have several boxes and items moved to a storage unit along the 3 mile route to the new residence on Monday, move day. John was extremely accommodating to adjust to this last minute change. On move day, Monday, John called at 8:00 am to let me know that they were on their way and should arrive just as scheduled at 8:30 am. They arrived right on-time and got started immediately with a walk-through to discuss what and how everything would be loaded. Also, since we had the last minute change to stop along the way to the new residence to drop off several items to a storage unit, we had to make sure those items were left to go on to the moving van last. In the end, it worked out that Johns decided to drive his personal pickup loaded with our boxes and items for the storage unit, and he then unloaded and arranged our boxes and items directly into the storage unit for us. He did this so that the main, large moving van could continue on to the new residence about 3 miles away from the old residence. Once we arrived at the new residence, it turned out that the entrance and elevator were much farther from the new residence entry door than what we had been told by the leasing agent. Regardless, John and the 3 other moving guys hustled and moved everything some 200-300 yards and up the elevator to the top floor, which took quite a bit longer than anticipated. It was a full 8-hour day to complete the entire move, but they did it extremely well and without any damages to our furniture. Since I have a back injury, I asked John and Ava, the week before the move, if they would be able to unpack the kitchen and heavier items as well. At first, there was no openings in their busy end-of-the-month schedule, but on moving day, John informed me that he would be back with another guy first thing in the morning on Tuesday to unpack everything we needed unpacked. They did such a great job unpacking the kitchen and organized it so efficiently, I was able to continue working on other things and rarely had to even give any direction. We could not be happier with this moving company, and the Mathis Moving team made our move such a positive and pleasant experience, quite unlike the last experience. Thank you John, Ava, Mario, Mark-1, Anthony, and Mark-2, Caesar, and Ghorta (sorry if misspelled). You were all so great and pleasant to work with!

John and his guys did an amazing job! They were professional and efficient. Made my life so much less stressful with our move to a new home. I highly recommend using this company! Mathis moving co was excellent, would definitely recommend. They showed up on time and went straight to work. They were friendly, very professional and took good care with our furniture. They loaded and unloaded efficiently and carefully–nothing was damaged and it is all neatly packed in our storage unit. They really went above and beyond.

So I first had the pleasure of working with Roy Mathis Movers back in Dec 2019. I had a client who hired them for a move from Cerritos to Carson. I oversaw the move on behalf of my client and they did an outstanding job. All of the movers were friendly, attentive, reliable, accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure the move was done right. More recently, I referred them to a friend who moved from Lake Forest to Huntington Beach. They said they did a tremendous job especially since they had a lot of heavy and/or bulky furniture items to be moved up three levels on narrow stairways. Additionally, both of these moves were last minute with maybe a 2-3 day turn around and Mathis was able to accommodate those requests. I will continue to refer them and look forward to using their services if/when we move!

LOVE this company. I wouldn’t hire anyone but them to move my belongings. They are professional, easy to work with, they communicate really well and they are friendly. They take what can be a very stressful situation (Moving, am I right?!?) and make it happen with as little stress as possible. THANK YOU GUYS SOOOO MUCH!
