In June 2013, I moved from Fullerton to La Habra & the two guys from Mathis were awesome. They were on time, friendly, fast & efficient with no hidden charges. Thanks Lawson & Charro, you guys are the best. Btw, the lady in the Mathis front office was just as pleasant & a real pleasure talking to in setting up the move.

Found this moving company on Yelp and decided to give them a try since they were located close to our home. First called Excalibur (another 5 star rated business but they quoted over a $1,000 for moving from La Habra Heights to Colton…They said they needed three guys to work the move after I sent them a list of things to ship and I am assuming they quoted higher because they are based in downtown LA (moving companies charge by the hour per person working including the time to travel back). Roy Mathis Moving sent a quote back less than a couple hours after I emailed them and quoted $400-450 depending on the time. Set up the date for the move over the phone and two guys showed up (it’s been a couple of months so I forgot their names but very courteous and expedient) and they finished the whole job in less time than I expected (when I told them, “You guys are fast.” One of the guys smiled and said “We don’t mess around.”). They charged me around $330-340 and I gave them $400 including tip. Very friendly and honest business experience overall and I would definitely use them again. Definitely give them a try if you live near Whittier area.

There aren’t enough stars to give for this company! I give them 10 stars out of 5! Absolutely outstanding!! John and his crew were super nice, even though I had to have them come to move stuff around at my house twice before the big moving day, then on moving day, I had them move my sofa to a friend’s house after they moved everything into my house. Moves are always stressful, but John and his crew were so wonderful, and took such great care of everything, they made it relaxing and stress free. They never complained or acted like it was an inconvenience when I asked them to do some extra moving, but cheerfully went out of their way to accommodate. I had NO damaged items nor paint scuffs on any walls during this move. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a company’s YELP rating this high, with 93 reviews, but believe me, this company absolutely deserves it. You’ll be so glad you went with them, trust me!! Hire them now!!!!!

I had some large potted plants and a few other heavy items I needed moved on my property. Movers were early, fun to talk to and very professional.

John’s rates were very reasonable for the exceptional service received. I have used his company twice and both times the crew (Lawson and Mark) were professional, friendly, and entertaining to boot. On the second job, they took extra measures to protect my refurbished furniture. After unloading they put my twin beds together and the antique china hutch, which was a challenge. But they mastered it. All the work was done swiftly, no time wasted. I would definitely use Mathis Moving again.

I have hired a many movers in the past and Mathis Moving has been by far, the best one! They are very efficient, very professional and provided such great customer service! I highly recommend them. They were so helpful and was considerate on how to put the boxes and things away at our new home. They put them away nicely on shelves in the garage and made sure there was space to walk around so I can easily go through the boxes. While they were packing, I mentioned how I was donating some of the items they were packing. When they unloaded at the new house, they made sure to put those donations items together and easily accessible. This type of customer service is amazing. They packed up our things and moved them as if it was their own. From my very first call to them, until they finished the job…5 stars!

John was terrific in the setup process, his crew was on-time, friendly, responsive, and worked hard. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again, especially in an industry of unknowns. If you’re like me and called a dozen companies, these are the guys to call first.
